Recipe of the day....Angel Food Cake

This is a great low fat recipe for Angel Food cake. Hope to try it soon...Jet give it a go yeah and tell me how it turns out.

It is a bit high on carbs but a couple of hrs at the gym should sort that out.

Nutritional Information Fat: 1.1 g Carbohydrates: 34.2g Calories: 165.6 Protein: 4.8g

Ingredients
1 cup sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 egg whites
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Method
1. Sift flour, salt, and 3/4 cups sugar together.

2. Beat remaining ingredients until soft peaks form. Reduce mixing speed and gradually add remaining 3/4 cups sugar several tablespoons at a time.

3. Sift a small amount of the dry mixture over the whipped eggs. Fold gently. Continue (sifting and folding) until all flour is just incorporated.

4. Gently pour batter into a greased 10 inch pan. Bake at
350° F for 35-40 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean).

Makes 12 servings.

Whoh makes 12 servings. Will give it a go when I have time after my exams. Is angel food cake opposite of devil's food cake?

ye 12 servings, you know me dude, I wouldn't settle for less than 6..
Wonder what devils food cake tastes like?

hehehe.. cooking for a feast eh? yea devil's food cake's not bad. It's just chocolate I think.
